This gentle healing form of yoga focusses on nurturing physical poses to help heal the chronic effects of stress. I have adapted various yoga techniques into one class – a gentle, mindful approach to the movements, restorative poses to relax the body and calm the nervous system and a final meditation/savasana that incorporates yoga nidra and soothing guided meditation. During class we use a variety of props – including bolsters, blankets and blocks –to support the body in each pose, so that the body and mind are able to deeply relax. All levels are welcome including students working with injury, or sensitivity.
